CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton - Seat No. 4: <br />Thanked City staff for all they did in response to the storm, especially those who took the time <br />to find new creative solutions to problems, like the ticketing systeln and utilizing Microsoft <br />Teams to relay calls. <br />Advised there would be a 4 -hour Senior Resource education event on October 14"' at the <br />Recreation Center at Secret Lake Park pert on by the Central Florida Community. He asked <br />that if anyone knows of any senior needing help applying for aid or access to senior resources, <br />that they please direct them to that event. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />• Commended all City staff on doing such a great job responding to the storm, noting he would <br />be happy to see the debris trucks picking up the debris starting tomorrow and returning the City <br />to the gem that it is. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Inquired about whether there was a schedule for the zoned debris pickup and was advised by <br />Mr. Newlon and Dr. Brock that the progress the contractor would make would be dependent <br />on how quickly they could pass from zone to zone, but the map would be posted on the City's <br />website for residents to see where the next pickups would occur. Tomorrow pickup would start <br />in zones l and 3, and from there the website would guide where they would go next. <br />Vice Mayor/Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />Also reiterated that lie was thankful to all City staff who had worked so hard during the <br />hurricane event. <br />Mayor/Commissioner David Henson - Seat No. 5: <br />Stated that lie was pleased that the City Commission had approved the item on the Consent <br />Agenda related to storm pipe rehabilitation, as he personally was aware of an area with some <br />stormwater issues that would be corrected by the project. <br />Suggested the City may wish to consider showing leniency to residents who had to secure their <br />properties with fencing for the storm event and may not have obtained permits for the work, <br />noting even if a permit was required retroactively, lie would prefer that those residents not <br />receive a code violation due to the circumstances. <br />Added that he was very proud of staff and how they handled themselves during the storm event <br />and was also proud of the foresight the City had shown in leaking the right investments in the <br />City's infrastructure to be able to handle such an event. <br />
