Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to Resolution 22-3336-A was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Additionally, pursuant to Section 163.346, Florida Statutes, written notice of the proposed action was sent by registered mail to the applicable taxing authorities 15 days prior to this meeting. Staff Presentation: Chief Planner Christina Hyson stated Resolution 22-3336-A modifies the Community Redevelopment Plan of the Casselberry CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency) to add the property located at 201 State Road (SR) 436 to the CRA Area and Plan. The subject property is a small parcel located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Oxford Road and State Road 436. The property was developed with a convenience store with gas pumps, but the property has remained vacant since the closure of the business in 2018. The site is under common ownership with the adjacent parcel located at 205 State Road 436 and the applicant is proposing to redevelop both properties which will require combining the parcels into one uniform tract. However, one parcel is currently located within the CRA Area and one parcel is not. This modification will correct that inconsistency. Also, the addition of the parcel to the CRA Area and Plan will further the CRA's goals by facilitating the development of the property and the adjacent parcel. The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners authorized this amendment to the CRA Area and Plan by resolution, and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) also approved modification of the CRA Area and Plan by adding this parcel. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. Recommendation: The City Manager recommended approval of Resolution 22-3336-A to modify the Community Redevelopment Plan of the Casselberry CRA to add the property located at 201 SR 436 to the CRA Area and Plan. Public Hearing: Mayor Henson stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and questions regarding Resolution 22-3336-A. Mayor Henson opened the floor for public participation. No one came forward to address Resolution 22-3336-A. Mayor Henson closed the public hearing relative to Resolution 22-3336-A. MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Resolution 22-3336-A, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. 12. OTHER ITEMS A.
