To begin heres a little background on our business. Me doug markovitz and my brother brad <br />markovitz have owned county beverage Ilc dba casselberry liquor for 9 years going on 10 years. <br />We have 5 very loyal trustworthy employees that depend on this job to secure their future and <br />feed their families. Lets just say we are a true family business if they still have thoose anymore. <br />So For 9 years we have paid rent consistently for the past 9 years without late payments or any <br />issues-from 2020-2022 during the health crises we continued to pay rent on begging of the <br />month every time without any delay. <br />we like to think as ourself as a good tenant for the landlord over 9 years we have paid them <br />over $500,000 in rent payments without interruption. Me and my brother have been running <br />the business since 24 years old and have worked hard for many years to build up the business. <br />We put blood sweat and tears in building this store up and many many late nights at the store. <br />We were raised in middle class family raised by our single mom. Our mom raised us to work <br />hard in entrepreneurship and build up a business and achieve the american dream. She raised <br />us as jewish faith with integrity, loyalty and honesty and to treat others how you want to be <br />treated and most important stick up for what we believe in and have faith and stay strong. <br />Therefor im writing this narrative to expose chronie capitalism corporate bullying at its finest <br />and provide a voice and a platform for not only our situation but all the small businesses that <br />having fallen victim and lost their business and killed their american dream as a victim to <br />corporate bullying and chronie capitalism and manipulative tactics <br />*The story begins around april 26 2021 which was was roughly 13 months roughly 390 days <br />from our renewal option period for our lease. You can see from our email log in dropbox april <br />26th 2021 <br />1 emailed mr ryan tuffs property manager of itson and partners <br />about the ac needing to get replaced and we were wondering if he would be willing to work <br />with us to cover some of the cost. He mentioned "hed maybe able to incoroporate a <br />contribution toward our ac replacement along with our lease renewal extension beyond the <br />5/31/22 lease expiration..i told him i was ok with that arrangement and appreciated his <br />compromise and told him we can revist it later on.We went ahead and paid roughly 9000 out <br />of pocket for brand new ac from peak refrigeration. <br />Now turn to may 18th 2021 email lohs with jana dupree and ryan tufts property manager of <br />kitson and parters (they are the developer and property manager) <br />im asking about the reasoning for raiseing the rent during the pandemic and asked their future <br />plans for the building going forward and discussing my option for renewal. <br />They said that they had a possible deal with a major tenant coming and recommended i speak <br />with vp of kitson and partners mr matt buhler on some ideas of their future plans for us in the <br />plaza. <br />On "may 18th" in the emails I specifically asked them to send me a renewal proposal so we can <br />
