TASK AUTHORIZATION 1 SCOPE OF SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND PERMITTING OF THE LAKE HODGE & GEE CREEK BAFFLE BOXES SEPTEMBER 2010 I. Project Description This Task Authorization is based upon the agreement between the City of Casselberry (the CITY) and the firm of Camp Dresser & McKee Inc. (the CONSULTANT) for Continuing Stormwater, Lake Management, and Water Quality Engineering Services dated May 10, 2010 (the Agreement). The CITY requested the CONSULTANT to provide engineering services for the design of two (second generation -type with media filter, or equivalent technology) baffle boxes for the purpose of water quality retrofit. The first baffle box will be located at an existing outfall to Lake Hodge at Osceola Trail and the second baffle box will be located at an existing outfall to Gee Creek at Osceola Trail. The baffle boxes will be installed on the stormwater pipe network in an effort to reduce nutrient loading to the downstream water bodies. The baffle box installation at the Lake Hodge outfall is also expected to include replacement of an existing concrete spillway with riprap and replacement of the adjacent chain link fences pending the outcome of the property search. The general locations of the baffle boxes to be installed are shown in Figure 1. II. Scope of Services Task 1- Data Collection The CITY shall provide the following information to the CONSULTANT that is available for the project including existing record drawings, or as -built drawings, sub - basin delineation maps, plat maps, GIS data, photos, permits, hydraulic and hydrologic models and calculations, and any other pertinent project data that has not already been provided to the CONSULTANT. Subtask 1.1 Site Visits - The CONSULANT will perform a total of one (1) site visit to evaluate the condition of the existing outfalls at the two sites. The CONSULTANT will compare the site survey with observed field conditions and contact the CITY in the case of significant discrepancies that would require a modification to this scope of services. Subtask 1.2 Survey and Geotechnical Coordination and Review - This task includes coordination with a professional land surveyor and a geotechnical firm to help them understand the project goals for completing the topographic survey and geotechnical exploration.
