EXHIBIT 1 SCOPE OF SERVICES TASK 1 - Preliminary Engineering The proposed water main replacements will be as follows: A. Linden Road west of Lake Howell Road - approximately 1,240 linear feet of 6 -inch main; B. Elsinore Avenue — approximately 900 linear feet of 6 -inch main; C. Maywood Road - approximately 1,125 linear feet of 4 -inch main; D. Willow Lane - approximately 975 linear feet of 4 -inch main; E. Ivy Lane - approximately 750 linear feet of 6 -inch main; and F. North Lakemont Avenue - approximately 280 linear feet of 6 -inch main. The ENGINEER shall Attend a project initiation meeting to establish lines of communication, contract requirements, schedule and reporting requirements. 2. Collect and review all available information such as records, maps, aerials, surveys, easements, ROW records, plans, record drawings, soils investigation reports, codes and standards that may be pertinent to execution of the Project. 3. Evaluate existing conditions along the proposed pipe installation route by site visitation. Consider current field conditions and any proposed site improvements and/or changes that may impact the Project and recommended location of the proposed pipeline. 4. Review the requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the Project and collect and review any other information that may have a bearing and impact on the planning, design, approval, permitting, construction or operation of the Project. Specifically, meet with Seminole County Public Works Department Engineering personnel in the field to review actual conditions to determine the specific requirements for construction of the new water mains and disposition/removal of the existing asbestos cement (AC) water mains. 5. Prepare a preliminary layout (30% Plan Set) of the proposed construction alignment of the water main which indicates all major conflicts with existing utilities and all Page 9 of 24
