EXHIBIT 1 <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />TASK 1 - Preliminary Engineering <br />The proposed water main replacements will be as follows: <br />A. Linden Road west of Lake Howell Road - approximately 1,240 linear feet <br />of 6 -inch main; <br />B. Elsinore Avenue — approximately 900 linear feet of 6 -inch main; <br />C. Maywood Road - approximately 1,125 linear feet of 4 -inch main; <br />D. Willow Lane - approximately 975 linear feet of 4 -inch main; <br />E. Ivy Lane - approximately 750 linear feet of 6 -inch main; and <br />F. North Lakemont Avenue - approximately 280 linear feet of 6 -inch main. <br />The ENGINEER shall <br />Attend a project initiation meeting to establish lines of communication, contract <br />requirements, schedule and reporting requirements. <br />2. Collect and review all available information such as records, maps, aerials, surveys, <br />easements, ROW records, plans, record drawings, soils investigation reports, codes <br />and standards that may be pertinent to execution of the Project. <br />3. Evaluate existing conditions along the proposed pipe installation route by site <br />visitation. Consider current field conditions and any proposed site improvements <br />and/or changes that may impact the Project and recommended location of the <br />proposed pipeline. <br />4. Review the requirements of agencies having jurisdiction over the Project and collect <br />and review any other information that may have a bearing and impact on the <br />planning, design, approval, permitting, construction or operation of the Project. <br />Specifically, meet with Seminole County Public Works Department Engineering <br />personnel in the field to review actual conditions to determine the specific <br />requirements for construction of the new water mains and disposition/removal of the <br />existing asbestos cement (AC) water mains. <br />5. Prepare a preliminary layout (30% Plan Set) of the proposed construction alignment <br />of the water main which indicates all major conflicts with existing utilities and all <br />Page 9 of 24 <br />
