RESOLUTION 08-1934 <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />FOR BUILDING CODE ADMINISTRATOR AND RELATED SERVICES <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY AND THE CITY OF <br />ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />WHEREAS, the City of Altamonte Springs employs a Building Official and a staff of <br />Building Department employees, all with appropriate State of Florida certifications related to <br />the competent performance of duties in the regulation and inspection of buildings and other <br />structures being constructed, altered, expanded and renovated; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Casselberry no longer has a Building Official and desires to <br />avail itself of the knowledge and expertise of the City of Altamonte Springs' Building Official <br />and staff to assist it in the performance of like activities and duties on behalf of the City of <br />Casselberry; and <br />WHEREAS, both parties have mutually agreed upon a methodology and pricing <br />(cost) for the City of Altamonte Springs to be fairly compensated for the time and staff <br />expertise when performing such services, enumerated in the attached agreement, by the <br />City of Casselberry. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. The City Commission of the City of Casselberry hereby approves the <br />Agreement for Building Code Administrator and Related Services Between the City of <br />Casselberry, Florida and City of Altamonte Springs, Florida (attached hereto as Exhibit "A"), <br />and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. <br />SECTION II. Conflicts. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict with any of <br />the provisions of this Resolution are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION III. Severability. If any Section or portion of a Section of this Resolution <br />proves to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair <br />the validity, force, or effect of any other Section or part of this Resolution. <br />SECTION IV. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of September, AD 2008. <br />ATTEST: <br />Donna G.
