CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 26, 2012 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 16 <br />Force, the Department will receive federal forfeiture funds which can be used to purchase additional equipment <br />in the future. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued regarding the criteria used in determining when Police vehicles should <br />be replaced. <br />Budget Impact: The City's Miscellaneous Income Account (302-0000-369.93-00 will be increased by $7,766 <br />(funds available from Police Department's Property/Evidence Audit), Surplus Sales Account (302-0000- <br />364.41-00) will be increased by $27,500 (funds anticipated as a result of Police Department vehicles being sent <br />to auction) and Other Non -Operating Account (302-0000-389.90-00) will be increased by $69,895 (funds <br />currently available in the Equipment Replacement Account). These funds will be combined to increase the <br />Capital Outlay Account (302-0610-521.67.22) by $105,161 for the purchase of four (4) vehicles it would <br />otherwise to have to lease in FY 2012/13. <br />BA #12-032: <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks Commission consideration and approval to purchase four patrol <br />vehicles from the Equipment Replacement Fund. Surplus auction of "replaced" fleet have accumulated fund <br />balance in the Equipment Replacement Fund. More current revenue can be budgeted to anticipate current year <br />auction proceeds. "Unclaimed Evidence and Abandoned Property" money is available to further subsidize the <br />purchase. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner Miller. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />B.
