CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />Election qualifying period for Seats 1, 2 and 3 will be held from noon, Monday, May 16, 2022 <br />through noon, Friday, May 20, 2022. Anyone interested in qualifying for those three seats <br />should contact the City Clerk's office to schedule an appointment to go over the qualification <br />requirements prior to the qualifying period. <br />The City's next event will be Earth Fest on Saturday, April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in <br />Lake Concord Park. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Stated he was also excited about the utility customer portal and felt it would be a great tool for <br />the City's utility customers to catch differences in water consumption earlier and would help <br />facilitate better customer service relations between the City and its customers. He thanked all <br />who were involved in bringing this new technology to the City and was glad to know it would <br />be coming online this year. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />Added to Commissioner Meadows' comments regarding the utility customer portal, noting that <br />between installation of the new smart meters and the utility customer portal, many issues would <br />be resolved, and it would also create transparency for the citizens. He noted that there would <br />also be an app that would send notifications of a leak rather than discovering it much later when <br />the utility bill showed an unexplained increase in usage. <br />Extended congratulations to Dr. Kelly Brock on his appointment as the new Public Works and <br />Utilities Director effective June 12"i and noted he was looking forward to Dr. Brock continuing <br />the great work lie already does on behalf of the City. <br />Commissioner/Vice Mayor Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Reported that the City's 10' Annual Earth Fest will be held in Lake Concord Park on Saturday, <br />April 30"', and there will be tree and shrub giveaways, kids' activities, live music, tree seminars <br />and much more. He noted that approximately 2000 people were expected to attend, and it was <br />the largest Earth Fest in Seminole County and second largest in Central Florida. <br />
