CASSCLBGRRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of March 28, 2022 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 13 of 14 <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period February 1 2022 through FebruM <br />28, 2022 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of February 2022 was <br />contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information <br />about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Commended and expressed appreciation to all City staff who had worked to support the Spring <br />Jazz and Art Festival on Saturday, March 26"i, noting that it was a tremendous event and very <br />well attended. <br />• Advised that State Representative David Smith had asked to present a legislative update to the <br />City Commission and would be doing that at the April 11"' regular City Commission meeting. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• The City has also received a request from State Representative Joy Goff-Marcil to present a <br />legislative update at an upcoming City Commission meeting so that will be scheduled for an <br />upcoming meeting. <br />• The City's next event is Folk Fest, featuring guest artist Yarn on Saturday, April 9`I' in Lake <br />Concord Park from 6-9 p.m. Food trucks and vendors will also be a part of that event. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Chad Albritton — Seat No. 4: <br />• Reported he has been working with Community Legal Services of Mid -Florida which is an <br />organization that provides free legal assistance for homeowners and renters who need to apply <br />
