CASSGLBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 24, 2022 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote <br />5-0. <br />Ms. Gardner noted for the record that Matthew Hettler was re-elected unopposed as the Firefighter Member <br />of the Board so he would continue to serve in that capacity. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Henson announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />A. Procurement Information Report for the Period December 1 2021 through <br />December 31, 2021 <br />Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Information Report for the month of December 2021 was <br />contained in the Commissioners' agenda packets for review. He noted that the report contained information <br />about minor contracts that were issued under delegated authority of staff during this period. <br />• Introduced Cheryl Olson who is the City's new Procurement Manager and comes to the City <br />from Seminole County Public Schools. Mr. Newlon and the City Commissioners welcomed <br />Ms. Olson to the City of Casselberry. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />Ms. Reischmann briefly reported on two bills pending that may have negative impacts on cities but appear <br />to be moving through the Legislature and are projected to pass; one relating to damages that can be claimed <br />by a business if the business was impaired by a particular ordinance, and one that requires a financial impact <br />statement be done for every ordinance. She stated that the Florida League of Cities had been able to make <br />some changes to the bills to make them somewhat more palatable, but she would keep abreast of <br />developments and report to the City Commission as she received additional information. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• The next event will be the Food Trucks on Friday, February 11t" at Lake Concord Park from 6- <br />9 P.M. <br />
