Mayors/Managers Group Report Mayor Henson reported that the group had met on October 215' and he and Mr. Newlon had an opportunity to meet the incoming Acting County Manager Joe Abel, who is the current Deputy County Manager. Mr. Abel will serve as Acting County Manager while a nationwide search is conducted for a replacement for current County Manager Nicole Guillet who has submitted her resignation effective December 3' and will be taking on a new role as Executive Vice -President for Commercial Development, Real Estate and Legal Affairs at the Sanford Orlando International Airport. Mayor Henson also advised that Mayor Kevin McCann of the City of Winter Springs had been selected to serve as the new Chair for the Mayors/Managers Group. 9. RESOLUTIONS No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. 10. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES A. Ordinance 21-1560 — Amending the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations Chapter 1 General Administration Section 1-4.3(D), Schedule of Building Permit Fees by Updating Building Fees and Providin Addressing Fees The City Cleric read Ordinance 21-1560 by title, as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO BUILDING PERMIT FEES, AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, PART III, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, CHAPTER I, GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE IV, BUILDING CODE, SECTION 1-4.3, BUILDING PERMITS, SECTION 1-4.3(D), SCHEDULE OF BUILDING PERMIT FEES, UPDATING BUILDING SAFETY FEES AND INCLUDING ADDRESSING FEES TO IMPLEMENT THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, PER S. 553.80, OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." Staff Presentation: Community Development Director Chris Bowley stated that Ordinance 21-1560 provides for amending the City of Casselberry Unified Land Development Regulations, Chapter I, General Administration, Section 1-4.3(D), Schedule of Building Permit Fees, by updating building fees and providing addressing fees. Florida Statutes Section 553.80 requires local governments to regulate building construction and to manage the Florida Building Code, which includes permitting costs, application fees, and inspection, reinspection and permit issuance by activity type, and the City of Casselberry is subject to this requirement. If adopted, Ordinance 21-1560 will update building permit, application, and inspection fees, as well as provide new addressing fees to cover administrative costs for addressing services now performed by the City.
