Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #22-004 will increase General Fund Small Tool land Minor Equipment Account #001-0610-521.56-18 by $10,929; General Fund Small Tool and Minor Equipment NIBRS Reserve Account #001-0610-521.56-02 by $317; and JAG Grant 15PBJA-22-GG- 0 1 367PBJAGX Account #001-0000-331.22-18 by $10,610. BA #22-004 Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment seeks City Commission approval to recognize the Grant awarded by FY2021 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $10,610. Funding is provided for the purchase of a trailer and traffic cones and a required "set aside" of 3% to be used to provide items necessary for NIBRS compliance with date submission requirements under the UCR program. G. Acceptance of FY 2021 Department of Justice Assistance Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant for Purchase of Bulletproof Vest and Related Budget Amendment #22-005 Introduction: Consideration to accept the FY 2021 Department of Justice Assistance Bulletproof Partnership Grant in the amount of $5,955 for the purchase of bulletproof vests and approval of related Budget Amendment #22-005 is requested. Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #22-005 will increase General Fund Bulletproof Vest Revenue account #001-0000-331.29-01 by $5,955, Bulletproof Vest Expense account #001-0610-521.52- 01 by $4,810, and decrease General Fund Other Non -Operating Source Revenue account #001-0000- 389.90-00 by $1,145. The budget as adopted provided $7,100 in matching funds which is more than what was actually needed. For this reason, the overall budget is being reduced by $1,145.
