CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of October 11, 2021 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 16 of 17 <br />0140-514.31-01 for legal fees. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Attorney recommended approval of the rate <br />adjustments for City Attorney services. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />Halloween Spooktoberfest will be held at Lake Concord Park on Saturday, October 23" from <br />5-8 p.m. Details on the event can be found on the City's website and social media sites. <br />The Recreation Center re -opened to the public on October 4"' and will now be open Monday <br />through friday. That includes for rentals of the Center, as well as for the Wirz Park building. <br />Rental information for these facilities can be found on the City's website. Noted that there is <br />a different rental rate for residents and non-residents, as well as non -profits and businesses. <br />Advised that the City Commission would be responsible for setting rental rates for Brightwater <br />and those rates would follow the same structure already in place for the City's other facilities. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Reported that he and Mayor Henson had attended the Seminole County Legislative Delegation <br />meeting on September 29"' which is an opportunity for local governments to bring forward <br />concerns to state legislators, and he especially wished to thank Dr. Debra Bauer for representing <br />the Seminole County Historical Society at the meeting. <br />• Attended the October Country Jam on October 8`i' and agreed that it had been great despite the <br />wet weather, and he appreciated the band playing longer to make up for it. <br />• Encouraged everyone to visit the reVision exhibit which is currently at the Art House. He <br />explained that the exhibit is touchable sculptures specifically geared toward the visually <br />impaired so they can experience the artwork with their hands. He suggested everyone should <br />try going through with a mask so they get an idea of how the visually impaired experience it. <br />He noted that hand sanitizer would be provided. <br />• Wished Vice Mayor Busch a happy birthday. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Expressed appreciation to Ms. Reischmann for her voluntary concession on the City Attorney <br />rate and stated that he is very happy with the job she does for the City. <br />• Stated he was out of town, so he missed the October Country Jam but heard that staff had acted <br />quickly, and it had turned out to be a very good, intimate concert. <br />• Also wished Vice Mayor Busch a happy birthday. <br />
