historically natural body of water of one W acre or more in surface area
created subsequent to that map, located wholly or partly within the City,
including lakes, ponds, pools and the like, irrespective of the local or official
names of the bodies of water, and including all such described bodies of
water regardless of ownership of bottom lands or location of property lines.
A manmade retention pond is not a Lake.
Mooring structure means a dock, boat davit, hoist, boat lift, mooring pile or
similar structure attached to land permanently to which a vessel can be
moored.
Refuse (for purposes of this Chapter) means all solid waste accumulations
including yard trash, garbage, household trash, business trash, and derelict
materials such as damaged docks, sunken vessels, and hurricane debris.
River means a natural stream of water of greater volume than a stream, creek
or riverlet, flowing in a permanent bed or channel between defined banks or
walls, with a current which may be either continuous in one direction or
affected by the ebb and flow of a tide.
Stream means an historically natural watercourse having a source, terminus,
banks and channel, through which waters flow at least periodically. It usually
empties into other streams or lakes, but does not lose its character as a
watercourse even though it may break up and disappear.
Vessel means the same as "boat."
Water sports mean various sports, such as swimming, waterskiing, tubing,
kiteboarding or windsurfing that take place in or on the water, however, this
term does not include boating or fishing.
Waterway means all bodies of water, whether flowing or static, without
consideration of bed, channel, bank, current or other characteristics, located
wholly or partly within the City.
i=
Refuse (for purposes of this Chapter) means all solid waste accumulations
including yard trash, garbage, household trash, business trash, and derelict
materials such as damaged docks, sunken vessels, and hurricane debris.
