Sec. 2-158. - Application for reduction, satisfaction, or release of code enforcement liens. <br />Where a certified copy of an order imposing a penalty or fine, as described above in Section <br />2-154, has been recorded in the public records and has become a lien against the land and/or <br />property of the violator Nropefty ,, vvne , such violator ff-operty ,,.. iwf or the violator's successors <br />or assigns that has an ownership interest in the encumbered property (collectively the "Applicant") <br />may apply for a reduction, satisfaction, or release of such lien, as follows: <br />(a) Upon full payment by the violator;property ^ er,'p op ,-t ow applicant of the fine <br />or penalty imposed in accordance with this chapter, the City Manager or designee is <br />hereby authorized to execute and record a satisfaction of lien. <br />(b) Upon request for a reduction or forgiveness of a fine or penalty imposed, in accordance <br />with this chapter, the violater4propeFty owne, applicant shall submit a written request <br />,apples to the City Manager Community Development n or designee. <br />(c) The apples written request shall be executed under oath and sworn to in the presence <br />of a notga public, and shall include, but may not be limited to the following: <br />(1) The code enforcement case number; <br />(2) The date upon which when the violator. pr-epe#y-ovawr applicant brought the subject <br />property into compliance with the City Code; <br />(3) The factual basis and reasons upon which the violator4pfope-ty „,,,,,o, ap lip cant <br />believes the application for reduction or forgiveness and satisfaction of the lien <br />should be granted.
