Additionally, each operation shall be for a limited <br />time period, not to exceed seven (7) calendar days. <br />D. The requesting agency shall also be responsible for the following: <br />a. Ensuring participating individuals are aware of their responsibilities and <br />limitations, <br />b. Ensuring that participants understand the geographical area boundaries and the <br />duration of the operation, <br />c. Discussing the purpose of the operation, <br />d. Reviewing. safety precautions to be implemented, including equipment to be <br />used, <br />e. Assigning any specific duty assignments, <br />f. Establishing the planned vehicle stop sequence (if any), <br />g. Monitoring the event, <br />h. Ensuring that a sufficient number of personnel are present to provide adequate <br />safety, <br />i. Ensuring that participating personnel are aware of the requirements and <br />limitations on their actions and the handling of situations which might arise <br />under the operational plan's implementation, <br />j. Ensuring that operations flow smoothly and if the operation involves a stop <br />checkpoint, that drivers are detained for a minimal amount of time, <br />k. Deciding if conditions require a change in the number (sequence) of vehicles <br />stopped if the operation involves a stop checkpoint, including determining <br />when to terminate the checkpoint, and, <br />1. Filing an after -action report if required by the requesting agency supervising <br />the operation. <br />SECTION III. POWERS, PRIVILEGES, IMMUNITIES, AND COSTS <br />A.
