Page 15 <br />in Section II B or other offense constituting a breach of the peace, the officer shall be <br />empowered to render enforcement assistance and act in accordance with the law. <br />B. In the event a law enforcement officer of one of the parties to this Agreement has <br />probable cause to arrest an individual for an offense as outlined in Section 11.13 in his/her <br />jurisdiction and requests assistance in the location and apprehension of the suspect, and a <br />law enforcement officer of one of the other parties to this Agreement is in the jurisdiction <br />of the party requesting assistance and observes the suspect, the officer, representing <br />his/her party, shall be empowered to render law enforcement assistance and act in <br />accordance with the law and this Agreement. <br />C. In the event a law enforcement officer of one of the parties to this Agreement has <br />probable cause to arrest an individual for an offense as outlined in Section 11.13 in his/her <br />own jurisdiction and observes the offender outside of his/her own jurisdiction but within the <br />jurisdiction of one of the other parties to this agreement, the law enforcement officer <br />seeking to take enforcement action ( arrest/detention) in the participating jurisdiction may <br />do so provided he/she seeks authorization from the primary jurisdiction to take such <br />enforcement action. <br />D. In the event a law enforcement officer of one of the parties to this Agreement has <br />probable cause to arrest an individual for any offense in his/her own jurisdiction and <br />requests assistance in the location and apprehension of the suspect in another jurisdiction <br />which is party to this agreement, the law enforcement officer with jurisdiction in the area <br />where the suspect is located may take enforcement action at the request of the jurisdiction <br />with probable cause. <br />E. Prior to enforcement action being taken in the other agency's jurisdiction, the officer shall <br />notify that jurisdiction's Communications Center of the situation and obtain approval to <br />take enforcement action. Such approval shall be documented by the requesting agency <br />and the name of the individual so authorizing shall be noted. The only exception would be <br />the situation where immediate action is necessary. In that event, the Communications <br />Center would be notified immediately thereafter by the agency taking enforcement action. <br />Inter Local Multi Jurisdiction Combined Mutual Aid Agreement January 1, 2021 — January 31, 2021. Cities <br />of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Longwood, Oviedo, Sanford, Winter Springs and the <br />Sanford Airport Authority, The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees on behalf of its Police <br />Department and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office <br />
