Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Henson had no report but advised that the next Leadership Seminole Board meeting was scheduled <br />for July 16",, <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Henson reported that both he and City Manager Newlon had attended the last meeting held on May <br />18"' which was hosted by the City of Oviedo. A presentation was given by the Seminole County Sheriff's <br />Department about the opioid addiction problem and the efforts being made to combat it. The Sheriffs <br />Department, in partnership with Advent Health, Seminole County EMS/Fire Rescue, the Seminole County <br />Board of County Commissioners and Walmart created in 2019 the Hope & Healing Center in Sanford which <br />is a treatment center offering a path out of addiction for people struggling with opioid and other substance <br />abuse addictions. The partnership program is intended to transform the way people struggling with opioid <br />addiction are treated by the health care and criminal justice systems. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />A. Resolution 21-3243 — Approval of "As Is" Residential Contract for Sale and <br />Purchase of Property at 700 S Lost Lake Lane and Related Budget Amendment <br />#21-038 <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 21-3243 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, <br />FLORIDA, APPROVING A PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY AND LILIAN CARROLL AS PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE <br />ESTATE OF JOHN N. CASSELBERRY FOR PURCHASE OF RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY <br />AT 700 SOUTH LOST LAKE LANE IN CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR <br />CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: City Manager Randy Newlon stated Resolution 21-3243 provided for the approval of <br />a "As Is" Residential Contract for Sale and Purchase of property located at 700 S Lost Lake Lane for a <br />purchase price of $1,250,000 plus closing costs and approval of associated Budget Amendment #21-038 is <br />also requested. <br />Mr. Newlon gave a brief history of the property at 700 S Lost Lake Lane, stating that it was the historic <br />home of the City's founder Hibbard Casselberry known as the Brightwater Estate, and most recently had <br />been the home of the founder's son John Casselberry until his death in 2019. The property is now owned <br />by the Estate of John Casselberry. The Brightwater property contains the home which is 7,000 feet in area <br />and sits on 8.9 acres of land. The City owns property to the north and south of the site, so there is potential <br />
