Second Reading of Ordinance 21-1553 — Amending the Official Zoning <br />Designation and Adopting a PUD Agreement for Property Generally Located <br />Northwest of State Road 436 and Lamplite Way (ZB 20-06) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 21-1553 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AS ESTABLISHED IN CHAPTER II, ARTICLE IV, <br />SECTION 2-4.3, UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED; AMENDING THE <br />ZONING CLASSIFICATION FROM CG (COMMERCIAL GENERAL) TO PMX-MID <br />(PLANNED MIXED-USE: MEDIUM RISE) FOR TWO PARCELS GENERALLY LOCATED <br />NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF SR 436 AND LAMPLITE WAY, ONE OF WHICH IS AT 380 SR <br />436, TOTALING APPROXIMATELY 1.04 ACRES, AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing relative to second reading of Ordinance 21-1553 <br />was advertised in the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday, June 3, 2021. <br />Staff Presentation: Planner II Christina Hyson stated that Ordinance 21-1553 and the associated PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development) Agreement amend the official zoning designation for two (2) parcels generally <br />located northwest of State Road 436 and Lamplite Way from CG (Commercial General) to PMX-MID <br />(Planned Mixed -Use: Medium Rise). The subject properties collectively total approximately 1.04 acres <br />and are generally located northwest of State Road (SR) 436 and Lamplite Way, within the Oxford Park <br />Overlay District (OPOD) and the Community Redevelopment District (CRD). The site is currently vacant; <br />however, the applicant is proposing to develop the subject properties with a six -story mixed use building. <br />The current zoning of the properties, CG (Commercial General), is not consistent with the existing Future <br />Land Use Map (FLUM) designation of Major Thoroughfare Mixed -Use (MTMU), so the applicant is <br />requesting an amendment to the Official Zoning Map to rezone the properties to PMX-MID (Planned <br />
