CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of August 25, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 3 of 1 I <br />CENTERS OF FLORIDA, INC., FOR A COMPRESSED AIR SYSTEM RELATED TO THE SOUTH <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANT GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON TREATMENT ADDITION <br />PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 14-2644 approves the direct purchase Agreement with Air Centers of Florida, Inc., <br />in the amount of $25,498.00 for a compressed air system for the South Water Treatment Plant Granular <br />Activated Carbon Treatment Addition project, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of <br />the City. <br />Budget Impact: Budgetary cost savings on the direct purchase of the other necessary GAC (Granulated <br />Activated Carbon) equipment provides sufficient funding for this cost differential, and is available in the <br />Public Works/Water Production New Water Lines account #401-0754-533.63-24. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />14-2644 for the purchase of an Ingersoll Rand compressed air system from Air Centers of Florida, Inc., in the <br />amount of $25,498. <br />C. Resolution 14-2645 — Contract for Purchase and Sale of Surplus Property at <br />Sportsman's Paradise — Parcel #09-21-30-5BM-OA00-OOP1 <br />REMOVED FROM CONSENT AGENDA (See motion on page S of these minutes.) <br />D. Resolution 14-2646 — Supporting Seminole State College and its Foundation in <br />Their Efforts to Develop a Regional Arts and Education Village Concept <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, <br />SUPPORTING SEMINOLE STATE COLLEGE AND ITS FOUNDATION IN THEIR EFFORTS TO <br />DEVELOP A REGIONAL ARTS AND EDUCATION VILLAGE CONCEPT IN THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY; PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Introduction: Resolution 14-2646 expresses City Commission support of Seminole State College and its <br />Foundation in their efforts to develop a regional arts and education village concept in the City of Casselberry. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager recommends support of Seminole State College and its Foundation in <br />their efforts to develop a regional arts and education village concept in the City of Casselberry. <br />E. Application for Edward Byrne Memorial Assistance Countywide Grant FY14/15 <br />Introduction: This item provides for consideration to participate in a grant application through Seminole <br />County for Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant funds in the amount of $131,440 for designated <br />use by governmental agencies within Seminole County, including $16,430 by the City of Casselberry for the <br />
