M. <br />Mayor Glancy explained that a short recess had been taken to accommodate the public hearing for Resolution <br />14-2628 which had been advertised for 5:00 p.m. <br />11. Resolution 14-2628 — Intent to Use Uniform Method of Collecting Non -ad Valorem <br />Special Assessment for the Construction of a Wall for the Sausalito Shores <br />Subdivision <br />Ms. Sundvall read Resolution 14-2628 by title as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ELECTING TO USE THE <br />UNIFORM METHOD OF COLLECTING NON -AD VALOREM SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS LEVIED <br />WITHIN A PORTION OF THE INCORPORATED AREA OF THE CITY; STATING A NEED FOR <br />SUCH LEVY; PROVIDING FOR THE MAILING OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Notice of Public Hearing: The Notice of Public Hearing for Resolution 14-2628 was advertised for four <br />consecutive weeks in the Orlando Sentinel on Sunday, June 15, 2014; Sunday, June 22, 2014; Sunday, June <br />29, 2014; and Sunday, July 6, 2014. <br />Staff Presentation: Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock presented an overview of <br />Resolution 14-2628, explaining that the Sausalito wall along Red Bug Lake Road was in need of replacement <br />and staff had been in discussions with the homeowners' association for a couple of years about how to assist <br />the community with accomplishing replacement of the wall. He further explained that at a meeting with the <br />homeowners' association in October of 2012 there had been discussions about several options and preliminary <br />
