CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of June 23, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 14 <br />Introduction: Resolution 14-2623 accepts the conveyance of the Utility Easement for Parcel Id. No. 35-22- <br />30-529-ODOO-0000 with associated Bill of Sale and maintenance responsibilities for the City's water and waste <br />water utilities constructed within the twenty-three (23) single family residential development located in <br />unincorporated Seminole County known as Sanctuary at Aloma and authorizes City staff to record said <br />documents in the public records of Seminole County, Florida. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />14-2623. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address any item on the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Hufford moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Mayor Hufford expressed some concerns about sales of e -cigarettes and also sales of medical marijuana <br />in the event that the proposed Amendment 2 is passed. She suggested a discussion on how these businesses <br />are regulated would be an important topic for a future meeting. After a brief discussion, Mr. Newlon advised <br />he would refer the issue to Community Development staff for research regarding available options. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report — Mayor Glancy <br />No report. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported Leadership Seminole had met on Friday, June 20, 2014 and the meeting mainly focused on the end of <br />fiscal year wrap-up and appointing of new officers for the coming fiscal year beginning July 1, 2014. She gave <br />a brief accounting of the year's activities, stating that the classes had collectively received the highest rating of <br />7, and that since its inception Leadership Seminole had raised over $900,000 in funds towards local charities. <br />She added that there was also a brief report by the Seminole County Health Department, during which the <br />members were informed that Seminole County was rated as the 3rd healthiest county in the State of Florida. <br />
