Resolution 14-2598 — Change Order No. 8 to the Contractual Agreement with Killebrew, Inc. for Construction of the Casselberry Water Quality Improvement Projects "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CHANGE ORDER NO. 8 TO THE CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH KILLEBREW, INC. FOR OVERRUNS AND UNDERRUNS ENCOUNTERED ON PHASE 3 OF THE WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 14-2598 approves Final Change Order No. 8 to the agreement with Killebrew, Inc. for the City's Water Quality Improvements Projects for an amount of $185,310.14, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Budget Impact: The budget impact associated with additional costs related to approval of Change Order No. 8 will be a net decrease of $185,310.14 to the overall contract amount. A budget amendment will be brought forward once all reimbursable costs from FDEP (Florida Department of Environmental Protection) are known and approved by FDEP. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution 14-2598, C. Resolution 14-2599 — Amendment #5 to the Agreement for General Construction Management at Risk for Projects Less than $2 Million with Wharton -Smith Inc. for Additional Design and Pre -construction Services Related to Emer encs Generator Replacements for the North and Howell Park Water Plants "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT #5 WITH WHARTON- SMITH, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL DESIGN AND PRE -CONSTRUCTION SERVICES RELATED TO THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR REPLACEMENTS AT THE NORTH AND HOWELL PARK WATER TREATMENT PLANTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." Introduction: Resolution 14-2599 approves Amendment #5 to the Agreement for General Construction Management at Risk for Projects Less than $2 Million with Wharton -Smith, Inc. to provide additional design and pre -construction services related to emergency generator upgrades at the North and Howell Park Water Treatment Plants for an amount not to exceed $5,400 without prior written authorization, and authorizes the Mayor to execute said document on behalf of the City. Budget Impact: Funds to cover the costs associated with Amendment #5 with Wharton -Smith, for an amount not to exceed $5,400 are available in the Water and Sewer Non -departmental Professional Services Account #401-0190-536.31-04 and will increase purchase order #70635 by the same amount.
