Future Agenda Items <br />Vice Mayor Hufford expressed some concerns about a trend in commercial lighting that she had seen in the <br />City. She described it as stripes of pulsating lighting on commercial windows. She stated that she felt this <br />was very distracting and was inconsistent with the City's lighting codes. Mayor Glancy suggested that staff <br />look into the issue and bring their findings back to the Commission at a later meeting. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported that the committee members had been presented with the State Road 50/1JCF Connector Alternative <br />Analysis Study, and that she had forwarded the email containing the report to each of the Commissioners for <br />information purposes. She also reported that MetroPlan Orlando had voted to deny the Municipal Advisory <br />Committee's (MAC) request to include a seat for a municipal representative from MAC on the MetroPlan <br />Board. She noted, however, that there is currently a Senate Bill being proposed by Senator Brandes to expand <br />the number of seats on MPO's (Metropolitan Planning Organizations) and the MAC committee members had <br />voted to support the bill. She added that this was a new avenue that may result in an additional seat being <br />gained at MetroPlan. She also shared some statistics that were presented from a survey done by UCF amongst <br />seniors relating to transportation and mass transit. <br />C. Leadership Seminole Board Report — Mayor Glancy <br />Reported that there are only two more classes before graduation and shared her experiences from her most <br />recent class which included tours of the Sheriff's Department; the Seminole County Fire/Rescue EMS training <br />center; the County Emergency Operations Center; and Seminole County Animal Control. <br />D. Mayors/Managers Group Report — Mayor Glancy <br />No report. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report — <br />Commissioner Hufford <br />Reported that the last meeting was hosted by the City of Lake Mary and there had been a very good discussion <br />about the proposed one cent sales tax. She stated that each member spoke about the issue from their governing <br />board's viewpoint, she felt that this was very informative and beneficial to those in attendance at the meeting. <br />F.
