CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of February 10, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 10 of 12 <br />Reported that he would be attending a meeting on Friday, February 14, 2014 with Seminole County, <br />the Seminole County School Board, Seminole County city managers and public works directors for a <br />discussion on how the penny sales would be distributed in the event it is presented to the voters by <br />referendum and approved. He added that an interlocal agreement would then be presented to the <br />Commission for consideration and a detennination as to whether the Commission would support the <br />distribution amount designated for the City of Casselberry. He noted that this would not indicate the <br />City's support of the tax, but would just indicate approval of the amount to be received by the City <br />should the tax be approved by the voters. <br />Advised that the Police Department parking lot was undergoing some work to install pipes for <br />additional remediation of environmental issues and parking would not be available for the duration of <br />the work. He stated alternative parking was available in the employee parking lot across the street <br />from the Police Department or in the parking lot near the Art House. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />• Reported that the City's brief on the appeal filed by Cash for Gold was due by the end of February <br />2014, which would then be followed by a reply brief filed by Cash for Gold. She added that it could <br />take possibly six months to a year to get a decision from the courts on the appeal and she would keep <br />the Commission updated. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />• No report. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia — Seat No. 1: <br />• Reminded everyone of the Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar event coming up on <br />Friday, February 14, 2014 at Lake Concord Park. <br />• Reported he had attended the CALNO meeting on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. <br />• Advised he will be participating in another air potato raid on Saturday, March 15, 2014, and had <br />received offers from additional volunteers who also wanted to participate. <br />• Noted that the flyover at Red Bug Lake Road and State Road 436 was now open; however there were <br />still some issues with the functioning of the traffic lights when emergency vehicles are coming out of <br />the fire station. <br />Commissioner Gene Fry — Seat No. 2: <br />
