Resolution 14-2589— Waste Proof Florida Residential Solid Waste Consumer Price <br />Index Rate Adjustment <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLROIDA, <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF A RATE ADJUSTMENT FOR FUEL IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH THE COOPERATIVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE <br />COLLECTION WITH WASTE PRO OF FLORIDA, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />introduction: Resolution 14-2589 approves a Consumer Price index (CPI) fate adjustment fuel payable to <br />Waste Pro of Florida, Inc. for residential solid waste collection, increasing the base rate from $13.17 per home <br />per month to $13.31 per home per month (with an additional $10.71 charged for side door collection services <br />for residents without a debilitating condition), based on fuel inflation data provided by Seminole County. This <br />represents a Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustment in the amount of $6,509.16 to Waste Pro of Florida for <br />residential solid waste collection from April 1, 2014 to September 30, 2014. <br />Budget Impact: Funds to cover the 1.063% increase in Solid Waste collection rates from $13.17 to <br />$13.31/home per month (a total amount of $6,509.16 for April 1, 2014 through September 30, 2014) have <br />been anticipated and are available in the FY 2014 Solid Waste Other Contractual Services Account #118- <br />0730-534.34-00. <br />Future increases, whether absorbed by the City or passed on to the resident, will be applied to the charges <br />currently paid by the City at that time. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of Resolution <br />14-2589. <br />C.
