CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of April 14, 2014 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 19 of 19 <br />• Reported she had attended the Seminole County Prayer Breakfast on March 7, 2014 at which Sheriff <br />Don Eslinger had been the speaker. <br />• Commended the Casselberry Woman's Club on a successful fashion show on April 3. 2014. <br />• Reported that she attended the Casselberry Chamber of Corrunerce After -Hours event on April 2, 2014 <br />at which eight $500 scholarships were awarded to local graduating seniors. <br />Mayor Charlene Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />• Thanked the Commissioners and the volunteers for all their efforts in improving the Casselberry <br />community. <br />• Commended Chief Harkins and the Fire Department for receiving an ISO rating of 3. <br />• Expressed thanks to everyone for their kind comments about the Casselberry Woman's Club fashion <br />show, and advised that the event had raised over $6,000, all of which would go back to various area <br />charities. <br />• Reported that she had attended Congressman John Mica's annual Congressional Art Contest for 7"' - <br />12th grade grade students at the Polacek Museum in Winter Park on April 13, 2014. She added that the <br />winner of the competition was a Casselberry resident and a Lake Howell High School student. She <br />further added that the winner would receive a trip to Washington, D.C. where her winning art piece <br />would be displayed for one year in the Capitol. <br />• Reminded everyone of the National Day of Prayer event hosted by Community United Methodist <br />Church at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2014, <br />18.
