CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION
Minutes of May 10, 2021 — Regular Meeting
Page 5 of 12
E. Excuse of Absence of Commissioner Chad Albritton
Introduction: Commissioner Chad Albritton advised on May 10, 2021 that he is unable to attend the
meeting due to illness. He has respectfully requested that his Excuse of Absence be placed on the Consent
Agenda for consideration.
Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda.
MOTION: Commissioner Aramendia moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented.
Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Busch. Motion carried unanimously by
voice vote 4-0.
City Clerk Donna Gardner noted for the record that the Consent Agenda had been amended prior to the
meeting to include the Excuse of Absence for Commissioner Albritton due to illness.
8. He inquired of Mr. Newlon what
the expected time frame was for getting back to the City Commission with information on both the live
streaming and agenda accessibility issues.
Mr. Newlon advised that the Commission had, in fact, expressed interest in both live streaming the meetings
and providing a mode of access for the public to view agenda packets for the meetings. He stated that these
were important matters but were not urgent and required research, and currently there were other priorities,
including preparation of the budget for the July budget meetings. He anticipated that further discussion
about live streaming could take place after the July budget meetings, and he proposed August or September
for those discussions to determine what it would take to implement live streaming and what would be best
for the community, and to received guidance from the Commission on how they wished to proceed.
No other future agenda items were suggested.
B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Repor
Mayor Henson reported he had attended a Zoom meeting of the group on Thursday, May 6111, and the
emphasis of the discussion had been on trails, complete streets, safety, and connections to SunRail.
