The City Commission is requested to approve Resolution 18-3060 adopting a <br />final budget of $52,854,325 for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. <br />Budget Impact: The final budget requested for FY 2019 for the City of Casselberry remains at <br />$52,854,325. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Interim Finance Director recommended approval of <br />Resolution 18-3060 adopting the final operating budget for the City of Casselberry for the Fiscal Year 2018- <br />2019 total $52,854,325. <br />Public Hearing: Mayor Glancy stated this was a public hearing to hear and consider comments and <br />questions regarding Resolution 18-3060. No one came forward to address Resolution 18-3060. Mayor <br />Glancy closed the public hearing relative to Resolution 18-3060. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Solomon moved to approve Resolution 18-3060 establishing a <br />final operating budget for the City of Casselberry totaling $52,854,325 for <br />Fiscal Year 2018-2019, as presented. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor <br />Meadows. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 4-0. <br />11. FIRST READING OF ORDINANCES <br />No items were presented for consideration on this agenda. <br />12. OTHER ITEMS <br />A. Revised Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2019 <br />Staff Presentation: Development Services Manager Emily Hanna gave an overview of this item which <br />was a request to revise the existing Casselberry Neighborhood Improvement Grant Program for Fiscal Year <br />(FY) 2019 for the purpose of: streamlining the application process; allowing additional residents to apply; <br />and increasing the number of potential projects within the grant program, as follows: <br />Reduce the number of grant categories from 3 to 2, by removing the Neighborhood <br />Empowerment Grant and keeping the Homeowner Improvement Grant and the Neighborhood <br />Beautification Grant. <br />Homeowner Improvement Grant: <br />- Allow owner occupied mobile homes to apply for grant funding. <br />- Return the grant to a 50% match and increase the award amount to $2,500. <br />- Add fences, driveways, and ADA (Americans with Disabilities) accessible ramps to the <br />eligible projects list. <br />- Revise the application to remove redundancies, streamline the application process, and <br />remove outdated language. <br />Neighborhood Beautification Grant: <br />- Add ADA accessible projects to the eligible projects list. <br />
