CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Reischmann gave a brief overview of House Bill 403 and Senate Bill 266, which she was <br />hopeful would not pass this year, as it preempts the City's regulation of home occupations. She stated that <br />the Florida League of Cities and many others oppose the legislation, but it is supported by the National <br />Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIV) and other business groups and if passed it would take away <br />the City's ability to regulate which types of businesses can operate out of homes and she wanted to make <br />the City Commission aware of it. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Reported he also had attended the Casselberry Elementary School groundbreaking on February <br />16" <br />• Stated he appreciated the discussion, interaction, and feedback earlier in the meeting relating <br />to accessory structures and the possible need for changes to the City Code. <br />Vice Mayor Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />Stated he had no report but agreed with Commissioner Meadows' comments, adding that he <br />felt it was the right time for these discussions due to growth in Central Florida and the City of <br />Casselberry. <br />Mayor Henson — Seat No. 5: <br />Agreed with Commissioner Meadows and Vice Mayor Busch that the accessory structures <br />discussion was very timely. <br />Also attended the Casselberry Elementary School groundbreaking on February 16", which he <br />noted was long overdue. <br />Reported he had been attending many meetings via Zoom and would have one later in the week <br />for Leadership Seminole which he would report on at the next regular meeting. <br />
