CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 25, 2021 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 15 <br />Vice Mayor Busch agreed that would be fair; however, he wished to propose an additional future agenda <br />item to discuss the possibility of creating a community forum for the purpose of discussing these types of <br />issues which were of concern to the citizens, noting that the City of Orlando and other cities were also <br />creating these types of community forums. He added that he had spoken with some community leaders <br />who had expressed interest in participating in setting up this type of discussion forum, and he was <br />suggesting the future agenda item for the purposes of discussing whether it would be feasible, and if so, <br />how such a forum would look and how it would be set up. <br />Commissioner Meadows also suggested a future agenda item for the purpose of looking into accessory <br />structures and what the City's Code says about those, and to get some comparisons with other cities as to <br />how accessory structures are handled in other jurisdictions. He stated he felt it was definitely something <br />that needed to be looked at. Commissioner Aramendia agreed with the suggestion. <br />Mayor Henson stated that he would now move to the remaining Discussion Items and then come back to <br />Future Agenda Items after those committee reports for further discussion on the suggested future agenda <br />items. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Henson had no report but advised that the next meeting would be held on Thursday, February 41h <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />Commissioner Aramendia advised that the next CALNO meeting would be hosted on February 3rd by the <br />City of Altamonte Springs and they would be presenting a report on the COVID-19 virus in the fecal matter <br />within their wastewater system. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />Mayor Henson reported that the Executive Council and Board of Directors met via Zoom on January 15th <br />and he had participated as a member of the Mayors' Panel for Government Day on January 22nd which <br />included both Class 29 and Class 30, of which he is a member. He added that the Mayors' Panel portion <br />of the day received high ratings on the exit survey and that the next class would be Arts & Culture Day for <br />Class 30 which would be held February 51h. <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />Mayor Henson advised he had participated in the meeting by phone as he was having WiFi connection <br />issues, and City Manager Randy Newlon reported that the group had met on Tuesday, January 19t1, via <br />Zoom and the meeting was hosted by the City of Altamonte Springs. The highlight of discussion was that <br />Seminole County expects to receive $1 million to $2 million in additional funding to the CARES Act for <br />rental and utility assistance. He added that it is not yet ready, but a portal is being developed to receive <br />
