CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />City Clerk Donna Gardner shared the following information: <br />• City staff is here to serve the public and is available to answer any questions that a citizen or <br />resident has. <br />• The City's main number is 407-262-7700 which then leads to a menu to select the department <br />needed. <br />• The City's operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. but <br />many services are available on the City's website, www.casselberry.org and can be accessed <br />anytime. <br />• The City Clerk's generic email address is Cityclerk@casselberry.org and the City Clerk will <br />be glad to help anyone who contacts her office for assistance. The City's generic email address <br />is Cityhallgcasselbegy.org for those who do not know who to contact with their concerns. <br />• The City is available on social media and can be reached by instant message or a comment on <br />a post. The City Clerk personally oversees all the City's social media and will get back to <br />anyone who reaches out on social media. <br />• All emails sent to the City and written comments on social media are public record. <br />• The City Clerk will be working to provide a video through the virtual Citizens' Academy that <br />explains the public records laws in the State of Florida and the fact that there are very few <br />exemptions to Florida's public records laws. <br />• The City and the City Clerk are here to serve the citizens and residents of the City and will be <br />happy to point citizens in the right direction to get the assistance they need. <br />17. CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />• Agreed that it is very important to educate the residents on the public records laws and Florida's <br />Government in the Sunshine laws. <br />• Inquired whether it would be possible to reach out to the resident who spoke earlier regarding <br />her issues with a utility bill adjustment to see where the disconnect had actually happened and <br />was advised by Mr. Newlon that staff would reach out to her. <br />• Facilitated Arts & Culture Day for Leadership Seminole and spoke on the impact of arts and <br />culture on economic redevelopment. <br />• Participated with Habitat for Humanity and Friends of the Park in a cleanup day along the <br />City's waterways on January 18"' to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows — Seat No. 2: <br />• Advised that City resident Walt Bagley had passed away and expressed condolences to his <br />family. <br />• Urged the City Manager to ensure that all customer service staff are extremely well trained and <br />empowered to be able to assist citizens as well as possible in situations like the one brought up <br />earlier during Citizens' Comments. <br />
