CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 11, 2021 — Workshop <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />5. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Henson announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter may request <br />to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. The following individuals came forward: <br />Mr. Bill Hufford, 527 Queens Mirror Circle, expressed appreciation to the City Commission <br />and staff for addressing the need for updating the City's ordinances, especially relating to <br />home occupations and preservation of the residential character of the neighborhoods and <br />protection of property values. He also suggested it would be important to be aware of how <br />other cities in the area were addressing similar concerns. <br />Ms. Colleen Hufford, 527 Queens Mirror Circle, also expressed appreciation to the City <br />Commission and staff for addressing needed updates to the City's Code. She also expressed <br />concerns about preservation of the City's tree canopy, possible devaluation of the City's <br />commercial areas due to increases in home occupations, and regulation of the City's <br />waterways to preserve the quality of life along the lakes. She suggested that informational <br />pamphlets should be made available for new residents so they can be informed as to what is <br />and is not allowed within the City. <br />No one else came forward. <br />6.
