CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of December 14, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of 22 <br />L Budget Amendment #21-013 — Use of Federal Forfeiture Funds for Purchase of an <br />Axon In -Car Camera System <br />Introduction: Budget Amendment #21-013 provides for the purchase of an Axon in -car camera system <br />using federal forfeiture funds in the amount of $4,533. <br />Budget Impact: Approval of Budget Amendment #21-013 will increase the Other Non -Operating Source <br />account #122-0000-389.90-00 by $4,533, the Repair and Maintenance account #122-0610-521.46-00 by <br />$2,754 and the Small Tools and Minor Equipment account #122-0610-521.56-00 by $1,779. <br />BA #21-013 <br />Explanation of Request: This item seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the purchase <br />of additional Axon In -Car Camera System from federal forfeiture funds in the amount of $4,533. <br />Account Number <br />Increase: <br />122-0000-389.90-00 <br />122-0610-521.46-00 <br />122-0610-521.56-00 <br />Account Description <br />Other Non -Operating Source <br />Repair and Maintenance <br />Small Tools and Minor Equipment <br />Amount <br />$4,533 <br />$2,754 <br />$1,779 <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval of Budget Amendment <br />#20-013 to expend existing federal forfeiture funds in the amount of $4,533 for the purchase of an Axon <br />1n -car -camera system. <br />Piggyback Agreement with Advanced Environmental Laboratories Inc for <br />Environmental Laboratory Services <br />Introduction: An agreement with Advanced Environmental Laboratories, Inc. by piggybacking Volusia <br />County Agreement 20-13-15LL provides for environmental laboratory services on an as -needed basis for an <br />amount not to exceed $200,000 for the period beginning December 14, 2020 through February 3, 2023. <br />(Ref: PBA -2020-0682) <br />Budget Impact: Funding is available in the FY 2021 Water and Sewer Utility Fund Water Production <br />Other Contractual Services account #401-0754-533.34-00 and Water Reclamation Other Contractual <br />Services account #401-0753-535.34-00. Appropriations beyond FY 2021 are subject to future City <br />Commission approval. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval to piggyback <br />Volusia County Agreement 20-13-15LL with Advanced Environmental Laboratories, Inc. for environmental <br />laboratory services, in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for the period beginning December 14, 2020 <br />through February 3, 2023, and to simultaneously authorize the City Manager to approve renewals that do <br />not exceed the original contract compensation amount. <br />
