The applicant is requesting to change the zoning classification of the subject property <br />from R-9 (Low Density Single -Family) to CG (Commercial General). <br />The CG zoning district is established to implement the Comprehensive Plan land use policies for areas designated <br />as Commercial on the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map (FLUM). The CG zoning district accommodates <br />general commercial uses which shall include general retail sales and all other general commercial uses listed in Table <br />2-5.3. The CG zoning district is not intended to accommodate manufacturing of goods or other activities which may <br />generate nuisance impacts, including glare, smoke or other air pollutants, noise, vibration or major fire hazards, or <br />other impacts generally associated with more intensive industrial uses. Copies of the proposed amendment are available at City Hall in the Community Development <br />Department and may be inspected by the public during normal business hours.
