A Future Land
Use map amendment for property located at 1085 Belle Avenue.
Mr. Dean Fathelbab, Planner II, reviewed the information provided in staffs memorandum dated July 10,
2019 to the City of Casselberry Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Fathelbab said he is presenting this item on
behalf of Ms. Hyson. City water and sanitary sewer services are available to the subject property.
A brief discussion ensued regarding the future land use and zoning designations for the adjacent parcels.
Mr. Fathelbab explained that rezoning the property would provide more commercial service uses in the area that
would support the adjacent residential use and the future park at Belle Avenue and Winter Park Drive. Mr. Fathelbab
stated that the proposed zoning change from Industrial to Commercial Service is in line with the Industrial district;
however, it offers more commercial uses as a conditional use and some permitted uses.
A brief discussion ensued regarding the zoning needed for a medical marijuana pharmacy and adult
entertainment establishments.
Mr. Henson asked the applicant to come forward.
