He said the <br />opportunity now is to try to reach a global settlement and avoid a trial. Mr. Newlon stated that the CRA is not <br />obligated to fund any additional fees. He said the City sued under eminent domain and the City is obligated to pay <br />the additional fees. <br />After a brief discussion regarding the mediation, the additional funds requested and possible trial outcome <br />Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for the authorization of funds. Mr. Meadows made a motion that the CRA authorize <br />up to an additional $250,000 for the Chan property. No further discussion was held. Mr. Aramendia seconded the <br />motion. The motion failed unanimously by a voice vote. <br />Sixth Item: Authorization to demolish 110 Quail Pond. <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, reviewed staff's memo dated October 28, 2019 to the <br />Board. Ms. Hanna stated that multiple inspections were conducted on this property and it has been determined that <br />the building requires major repairs. She said it is the opinion of staff that the building should be demolished. Ms. <br />Hanna requested authorization to pursue demolition services for the property. <br />Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for authorization to demolish 110 Quail Pond. Mr. Busch made a motion to <br />approve authorization for the demolition of 110 Quail Pond. Mr. Meadows seconded the vote. The motion passed <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br />Seventh Item of Business: Authorization to hire Triece Company <br />Ms. Emily Hanna, Development Services Manager, reviewed staff's memo dated October 28, 2019. Ms. <br />Hanna explained in 2016 the CRA updated its redevelopment plan and identified property acquisition as a project for <br />the CRA to complete before its sunset in 2025. She said staff is requesting the CRA authorize real estate consulting <br />services from The Triece Company in the amount not to exceed $8,000. <br />Ms. Glancy asked for a motion for authorization of real estate consulting services. Mr. Aramendia made a <br />motion to authorize The Triece Company as presented. Mr. Busch seconded the motion. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Eighth Item of Business: Other Business. <br />There was no other business. <br />Ninth Item of Business: Public Comments. <br />
