Common Oil and Grease Interceptor means an interceptor which receives oil and grease wastes <br />from more than one facility with different operators (owners) or type of activities. <br />Compatible Constituent, Waste, or Pollutant means carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand, <br />chemical oxygen demand, oil and grease, suspended solids, pH, ammonia, nitrite/nitrate total <br />Kjeldahl nitrogen, total phosphorus and fecal coliform bacteria, plus any additional pollutants <br />identified in the City's NPDES or FDEP permit(s), where the POTW is capable of treating such <br />pollutants, does treat such pollutants, and in fact, does treat such pollutants to the degree required <br />by the aforementioned permits. <br />Compliance Order means an administrative order directing a noncompliant User to achieve or to <br />restore compliance by a date specified in the order. <br />Compliance Schedule means a schedule of required remedial activities (also called milestones) <br />necessary for an Industrial User to achieve compliance with all pretreatment program <br />requirements. Compliance schedule may be set forth in the Industrial Wastewater Discharge <br />Permit, consent order or other enforcement documents. <br />Composite Sample means a mixture of discrete grab samples or aliquots taken at the same location, <br />but at different tithes; and which will reflect average water quality at that monitoring location for <br />the given sample interval. Composite samples can be collected on a flow proportional or time <br />proportional basis. <br />Concentration Limit means a limit based on the mass of pollutant per unit volume, usually <br />expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/L). <br />Consent Agreement means an administrative order embodying a legally enforceable agreement <br />between the Control Authority and the noncompliant Industrial User designed to restore the User <br />to compliance status. <br />Consistent Removal means the average of the lowest fifty percent (50%) of the removal efficiencies <br />that are determined for a User or pretreatment facility in accordance with Chapter 62-625.420(2), <br />F.A.C. <br />Contaminant means the introduction of any physical, chemical, or radiological substance, <br />microorganisms, wastes or wastewater into a flow of water in a concentration that renders the <br />water unsuitable for its intended use. Refer to Pollutant. <br />Continuous Discharge means a discharge which occurs without interruption throughout the <br />operating hours of the industrial facility, except for infrequent shutdowns for maintenance, process <br />changes or other similar activities. <br />
