CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of May 11, 2020 — Regular Meeting Page 7 of l l Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to apply for the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of approximately $34,314. K. Building Official Position Pay Grade Reclassification within Fiscal Year 2020 Introduction: This request provides for a reclassification of the pay grade for the Building Official position within Fiscal year 2020. Discussion: A Building Official position was approved in the Annual Budget with a pay grade of 213. The 213 pay grade has a range low of $71,200, a midpoint of $89,000, and a high of $106,800. This range is not matching industry experience level, nor the State of Florida certification requirements for a Building Official. This request is for a reclassification of the pay grade for the Building Official position from the 213 pay grade to the 217 pay grade. The 217 pay grade has a range low of $78,865, a midpoint of $98,581 and high of $118,298, as approved in the classification plan. Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City General Fund Budget. The Building Official will be funded from the Building Safety Fund various personnel service accounts (119-0221-524.12-01 to 119-0221- 524.28-00). Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval of the Building Official position pay grade reclassification within Fiscal Year 2020 from pay grade 213 to pay grade 217. Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. MOTION: Commissioner Busch moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia.
