CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of May 11, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 7 of l l <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Police Chief recommended approval to apply for the <br />Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount <br />of approximately $34,314. <br />K. Building Official Position Pay Grade Reclassification within Fiscal Year 2020 <br />Introduction: This request provides for a reclassification of the pay grade for the Building Official position <br />within Fiscal year 2020. <br />Discussion: A Building Official position was approved in the Annual Budget with a pay grade of 213. The <br />213 pay grade has a range low of $71,200, a midpoint of $89,000, and a high of $106,800. This range is <br />not matching industry experience level, nor the State of Florida certification requirements for a Building <br />Official. This request is for a reclassification of the pay grade for the Building Official position from the <br />213 pay grade to the 217 pay grade. The 217 pay grade has a range low of $78,865, a midpoint of $98,581 <br />and high of $118,298, as approved in the classification plan. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City General Fund Budget. The Building Official will be funded <br />from the Building Safety Fund various personnel service accounts (119-0221-524.12-01 to 119-0221- <br />524.28-00). <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of the Building Official position pay grade reclassification within Fiscal Year 2020 from pay grade 213 to <br />pay grade 217. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Commissioner Busch moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Aramendia. Motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />No items were presented for consideration. <br />9.
