CITY COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS/COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Anthony Aramendia - Seat No. 1: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Andrew Meadows - Seat No. 2: <br />No report. <br />Commissioner Mark Busch - Seat No. 3: <br />No report. <br />Vice Mayor Bill Hufford — Seat No. 4: <br />• Reported he had participated in the Casselberry Prayer and Peace Walk on June 7t' with several <br />area churches, the Police Department, and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, stating the <br />event had been very peaceful and appropriate in light of recent events. He commended the <br />Police Department staff for their participation. <br />Mayor Glancy — Seat No. 5: <br />Reported she had attended the Mayors and Managers meeting hosted by the City of Oviedo on <br />May 19t1i, and Seminole County School Superintendent Walt Griffin had given an update on <br />the County's schools. She shared some of the information he presented, including survey <br />results from students' families which showed that 25% were not yet comfortable with students <br />returning to the classroom, while 75% were; summer programs were currently underway, <br />especially at the elementary school level; a soft reopening of the schools was scheduled for <br />some time in June; and plans were for schools to be open and ready for the start of classes on <br />August IOt". She added that Superintendent Griffin noted there would be challenges for social <br />distancing, particular with bus transportation and cafeteria situations, but he felt those could be <br />managed. Also, work was being done to hopefully achieve on some level by sometime in July <br />those graduations and proms which had been postponed. <br />18. ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business, Mayor Glancy adjourned the meeting at 5:25 p.m. <br />
