CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of January 27, 2020 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 6 of 13 <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />No report. <br />D. Leadership Seminole Board Report <br />No report. <br />E. Mayors/Managers Group Report <br />City Manager Randy Newlon reported the following from the Mayors/Managers Group meeting: <br />- Mayor Glancy was selected to serve as Chair for the group in the upcoming year. <br />- The State of the County address and luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 20"' at 11:30 <br />a.m. at the Hilton in Altamonte Springs, and County Chairman Jay Zembower will be reaching <br />out to the cities for contributions for the presentation. <br />- County Chairman Zembower indicated he felt there would be support from the County <br />Commission to take a referendum to the voters in 2025 for a fourth-generation penny sales tax <br />for infrastructure. He also shared that due to difficulties in keeping pace with completion of <br />funded projects in the County, the County Commission may seek to enlist help from cities <br />which are in close proximity to some of the projects by having them lead on those County - <br />funded projects. Mr. Newlon stated he did not know how that initiative would affect the City <br />of Casselberry but would keep the City Commission and staff advised. <br />Discussion: A brief discussion ensued about the City's ongoing projects; the benefits of the cities and the <br />County working together; and County funding assistance for City initiatives and projects. <br />9. RESOLUTIONS <br />A. Resolution 20-3146 — Oil and Grease Manas4ement Assistance and Incentive <br />Program <br />The City Clerk read Resolution 20-3146 by title, as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY OIL AND GREASE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE AND INCENTIVE <br />PROGRAM; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Economic Development Planner Dean Fathelbab stated that Resolution 20-3146 <br />provides for the creation and adoption of a City of Casselberry Oil and Grease Management Assistance and <br />Incentive Program. The emphasis of this program is to provide financial support for new restaurants and <br />existing food service establishments to do business and comply with the regulations associated with <br />connecting to the City of Casselberry sanitary sewer system. Applicants must meet all of the eligibility <br />requirements as outlined in the program guidelines. Eligible food service establishments and restaurants <br />
