CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of March 20, 2019 — Joint Workshop Page 2 of 8 3. ROLL CALL The City Clerk called the roll of Elected Officials and Board Members. All were present. 4. DISCUSSION ITEMS City Manager Randy Newlon gave a brief overview of what had taken place since the City Commission's acceptance of the Parks, Recreation, Pathways and Open Spaces Master Plan in 2017. He advised that two of the City's consultants would be presenting working drafts of the individual Site Master Plans for three of the six specific parks on which the City has focused for potential enhancements. He advised that the purpose of the workshop was for the consultants and staff to receive input from and have discussions with the City Commission and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board as to the proposed concepts and amenities for each of the parks, but no decisions would be made, or action taken at this meeting. Dew Drop Park Presentation: Deputy Public Works Director/City Engineer Kelly Brock introduced Ms. Kristin Caborn, Senior Manager of Planning for GAI Community Solutions Group, the planning consultants for two of the three parks which are the focus of tonight's workshop. Ms. Caborn introduced her associates who were also present at the meeting which included Mr. Glenn Herbert, Senior Manager of Landscape Architecture, Ms. Jo Tolentino, Landscape Designer, Ms. Sheeba West, Community Design Manager, and Mr. Ian Mancini, Landscape Designer. She then gave a presentation detailing the process that had been followed to create the draft Dew Drop Park Master Plan and highlighting each of the proposed amenities, which included the following components: Where we are: Project Scope Context Project Initiation; Opportunities & Constraints Analysis Public Input Draft Concept Plan o Program elements: ■ Entry features ■ Multi -use trail ■ 2-5- and 5 -12 -year-old playground ■ Splash pad ■ Zip line ■ Exercise stations ■ Tennis, basketball & volleyball ■ Boardwalk & fishing pier ■ Stormwater/raingarden ■ Sensory garden ■ Parking lot Audience Participation: The following individuals came forward:
