CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 9, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 5 of 13 <br />F. Excuse Absence of Commissioner Andrew Meadows <br />Introduction: Commissioner Andrew Meadows has advised that lie will be out of town and unable to <br />attend the September 9, 2019 Regular City Commission meeting. He has respectfully requested that his <br />Excuse of Absence be placed on the Consent Agenda for consideration. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion carried unanimously <br />by voice vote 4-0. <br />8. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A. Future Agenda Items <br />Commissioner Hufford expressed concerns about some complaints that had been received from a resident <br />residing on one of the City's lakes. After a brief discussion, City Manager Randy Newlon advised that <br />where appropriate, code enforcement measures were being pursued. City Attorney Reischmann advised <br />the City Commission against a public discussion of any matters that could possibly come back before the <br />City Commission in the form of a request for a reduction, approval of a settlement, or something of that <br />nature. Mr. Newlon added that staff would continue to investigate any complaints which were received. <br />No other future agenda items were brought forward for consideration. <br />B. Municipal Advisory Committee (Metroplan) Report <br />Mayor Glancy reported she had attended the meeting on Thursday, September 511, and most of the agenda <br />items had been housekeeping -type items related to moving things forward from Fiscal Year 2018-19 to <br />Fiscal year 2019-20. There was also discussion on various other issues, including: the East Central Florida <br />Regional Planning Council is looking to create a Regional Resilience Collaborative to deal with emergency <br />preparedness issues; status report on traffic signal retuning on the heaviest corridors in the tri -county area, <br />including U.S. Highway 17-92 and State Road 436; and researching additional ways to conduct outreach <br />to the public about planning for how to address transportation issues and the various modes of transportation <br />in the future. <br />C. Council of Local Governments in Seminole County (CALNO) Report <br />No report. <br />
