CASSCLBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of September 9, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 13 <br />Ms. Gardner will provide official notification to the Supervisor of Elections Office. The City Attorney and <br />Ms. Gardner are already working on the ballot language and the necessary Spanish translations. In response <br />to a question from the Commission, Ms. Gardner clarified that a vote of 50% plus one would be required <br />for the referendum to pass. <br />CONSENSUS: The City Commission agreed by consensus that the Parks Bond <br />Referendum Election date should be set to coincide with the Presidential <br />Preference Primary to be Held on March 17, 2020. <br />13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS <br />Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the <br />agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of <br />decorum. No one came forward. <br />14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Expressed appreciation to staff for all their efforts on emergency preparations in anticipation <br />of possible impacts from Hurricane Dorian. <br />Thanked the City Commission for its unwavering support of him and of staff as the City moves <br />forward with the new budget, planned projects and the possibility of additional projects should <br />the parks bond referendum pass during Fiscal Year 2020. He added that these are very exciting <br />times for the City, and he is very thankful for the Commission's support. <br />15. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />No report. <br />16. CITY CLERK'S REPORT <br />The City Clerk provided the following reminders of upcoming events: <br />o Art & Music in the Park and Food Truck Bazaar in conjunction with the Casselberry <br />Chamber of Commerce Business Expo, Friday, September 13t1, from 6-9 p.m. in Lake <br />Concord Park. <br />o Advent Health Battle of the Bands 5K Run, Saturday, September 1411, starting at 7:30 <br />a.m. in front of City Hall, with an anticipated attendance of approximately 2,000. <br />
