CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION <br />Minutes of July 22, 2019 — Regular Meeting <br />Page 12 of 20 <br />U.S. HIGHWAY 17-92, AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING <br />FOR CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />Staff Presentation: Planner II Christina Hyson stated that Ordinance 19-1518 amends the Official Zoning <br />designation from CG (Commercial General) to PMX-HIGH (Planned Mixed-Use: High Rise) for <br />approximately 6.89 acres located at the northwest corner of E. Altamonte Drive and S. U.S. Highway 17- <br />92. Written notice was posted on the subject property and notification was provided to the surrounding <br />property owners within 500 feet on May 23, 2019. The Planning and Zoning Commission, serving as the <br />Local Planning Agency (LPA), voted unanimously at its June 12, 2019 meeting to recommend approval of <br />the amendment to the City Commission. <br />The request to amend the Official Zoning Map from CG (Commercial General) to PMX-HIGH (Planned <br />Mixed -Use: High Rise) for the subject property: is consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the <br />existing Major Thoroughfare Mixed-Use (MTMU) Future Land Use designation; compatible and consistent <br />with the adjacent land uses and zoning districts;.and City services are available at the subject property and <br />will not be negatively impacted. <br />Budget Impact: There is no impact to the City Budget. <br />Recommendation: The City Manager and the Community Development Director recommended approval <br />of Ordinance 19-1518 on first reading. <br />Audience Participation: No one came forward to address Ordinance 19-1518. <br />MOTION: Vice Mayor Aramendia moved to approve Ordinance 19-1518 on first <br />reading, as presented. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Busch. Motion <br />carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. <br />11. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Second Reading of Ordinance 19-1513 — Amending the Future Land Use <br />Designation for Property Located at the Southwest Corner of Live Oaks Boulevard <br />and S. U.S. Highway 17-92 (LPA 19-07) <br />The City Clerk read Ordinance 19-1513 by title, as follows: <br />"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, TO AMEND THE CITY OF <br />CASSELBERRY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE OF THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM HIGH INTENSITY NON- <br />RESIDENTIAL/MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MAJOR THOROUGHFARE MIXED- <br />USE FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.921 ACRES GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF LIVE OAKS BOULEVARD AND SOUTH U.S. HIGHWAY 17-92, AS <br />DESCRIBED IN SECTION I OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, <br />SEVERABILITY, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE." <br />
