The City of Casselberry Lakes Management Advisory Board held a meeting <br />Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 6:32 p.m., in the <br />Casselberry City Commission Chambers <br />95 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry, FL 32707 <br />Appointed Board Members Present: <br />Gregory Case <br />Laura Hatton <br />Megan Johansson <br />Austin Lasure <br />Marc Taylor <br />Appointed Board Members Absent: <br />Felix Kreskey - Unexcused <br />Audience Attendee: <br />James Pooler, 683 Sausalito Boulevard, Casselberry <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Marissa Williams, Natural Resources Officer, Facilitator <br />D. Denyse Wilson, Staff Assistant II (Recording Secretary) <br />1. Call to Order: Chairman Austin Lasure called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm. He began <br />by leading everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />2. Roll Call: Chairman Lasure asked for the roll call, which was completed by Ms. D. Denyse <br />Wilson. <br />3. Approval of Minutes: Vice Chairman Taylor asked if everyone had read the minutes of <br />February 6, 2019, and they all responded that they had. Vice Chairman Taylor made a <br />motion to accept the minutes and Chairman Lasure seconded. The motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />4. Old Business: Vice Chairman Taylor commended our City Commission and City Lawyers <br />for removing the activity of duck hunting. There are signs acknowledging this. <br />Facilitator Marissa Williams shared that all of our water bodies and their contiguous <br />upland areas are designated as Bird Sanctuaries. We will use it as an advertising point <br />for our Community. This is not very common for municipalities to have this designation. <br />Chairman Lasure shared that he has noticed that the hydrilla has been cleared in various <br />lakes where there was a recent problem. Vice Chairman Taylor also shared that he has <br />been fishing frequently and the lakes are looking very good. <br />5. New Business <br />We currently have only one lake management technician. The open <br />position has been posted. Ms. Williams shared what the criteria is for the <br />position. The candidate should be experienced in the job. A minimum of <br />
