RESOLUTION 19.3107 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS BENEFITTING SPECIFIC PROPERTIES; DESCRIBING THE PROPERTY TO BE LOCATED WITHIN THE PROPOSED SAUSALITO ASSESSMENT AREA; DETERMINING THE ESTIMATED CAPITAL COST OF THE SAUSALITO SHORES SUBDIVISION WALL; DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WILL BE SPECIALLY BENEFITTED BY THE SAUSALITO SHORES SUBDIVISION WALL; ESTABLISHING THE METHOD OF ASSESSING CAPITAL COSTS OF THE SAUSALITO SHORES SUBDIVISION WALL AGAINST THE REAL PROPERTY THAT WILL BE SPECIALLY BENEFITTED THEREBY; DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO PREPARE AN INITIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL BASED UPON THE METHODOLOGY SET FORTH HEREIN, TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION AND ASSESSMENT ROLL, AND TO MAIL NOTICE; AUTHORIZING THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: ARTICLE I DEFINITIONS AND CONSTRUCTION SECTION 1.01. DEFINITIONS. This Resolution constitutes the Initial Assessment Resolution for the Sausalito Assessment Area. As used herein, the following terms shall have the following meanings, unless the context hereof otherwise requires. Capitalized terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings set forth in the Ordinance. "Assessed Parcels": Tax Parcels subject to the Capital Assessment contemplated hereunder. "Assessment Report": the report dated June 6, 2018 prepared by Bledsoe & Ebaugh, Inc. describing the apportionment methodology for the Capital Assessments and the special benefits conveyed by the Sausalito Shores Subdivision Wall to Assessed Parcels, including any supplement to such report. "Assessment Roll": the non -ad valorem assessment roll relating to the Capital Assessments imposed by the City against Tax Parcels located within the Sausalito Assessment Area, Resolution No. 19-3107 Page 1 of 17
