CASSELBERRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of May 13, 2019 — Regular Meeting Page 4 of 19 BA #19-034 Explanation of Request: This Budget Amendment seeks City Commission approval to provide funding for the upgrade of the utility trailer from the single axle 12 -ft. to a double axle 14 -ft. in the amount of $698 from the Federal Forfeiture Fund. The trailer will be used by the Police Department in routine and emergency law enforcement operations to tow the Polaris Ranger utility vehicle. D. Agreement with Guardian Equipment, Inc. for the Water Reclamation Facility Sodium Hypochlorite Pumps and Skids Replacement Introduction: Approval of the agreement with Guardian Equipment, Inc. which provides for replacement of the Water Reclamation Facility's sodium hypochlorite pumps and skids in the amount of $27,994.00 (Ref: RFQ-2019-0492) is requested. Budget Impact: Funding for this purchase in the amount of $27,994 was budgeted and is available in the FYI Water and Sewer Fund Water Reclamation Division Equipment Other Account #401-0753-535.67- 35. Recommendation: The City Manager and the Public Works Director recommended approval of the agreement with Guardian Equipment, Inc. for replacement of the Water Reclamation Facility's hypochlorite pumps and skids in the amount of $27,994. E. Agreement with KAT Construction & Materials, Inc. for the Installation of the Biosolids, Mixing, and Recycle Pumps at the Water Reclamation Facility and Related Budget Amendment #19-037 Introduction: Approval of the agreement with KAT Construction & Materials, Inc. which provides for the installation of the biosolids, mixing, and recycle pumps at the Water Reclamation Facility in the amount of $75,660 (Ref: RFQ-2019-0435) and related Budget Amendment #19-037 is requested. Budget Impact: Partial funding in the amount of $50,284 is available in Renewal & Replacement Water Reclamation Equipment Other account #402-0753-535.67-35. Budget Amendment #19-037 provides the remaining balance by increasing the Renewal & Replacement Fund Other Non -Operating Sources account #402-0000-389.90-00 and the Renewal & Replacement Water Reclamation Equipment Other account #402-0753-535.67-35 by $25,376.
