BMPs also inelude treatment f equifements, operating pmeedures, and pr-actioes to <br />control plant site vdnoff, spills of leaks, biesolids orwaste disposal, of dfainage ffoffl raw <br />to „i storage. <br />Best Management Practice Plan (BMPP) means a plan prepared by a UtIser describing the <br />operational and treatment methodology to minimize the amount of wastes from production and <br />to handle the resultant wastes in an environmentally sound and efficient manner. The objectives <br />of the plan include source control and pollution prevention in an effort to reduce the <br />contributions of waste in the User's discharges to the POTW <br />Best Professional Judgement means the highest quality technical opinion of a permit writer, after <br />consideration of all reasonably available and pertinent data or information, forming the basis for <br />the terms and conditions of a permit. <br />Biochemical _Oexygen Ddemand (BODS) means the quantity of oxygen utilized in the <br />biochemical oxidation of organic matter under standard laboratory procedures for five W days at <br />20°C, expressed in parts per million by weight (milligrams per liter). <br />Biohazardous Waste means waste from biological source that may be hazardous to living <br />organisms. Waste can be physical, biological or chemical in nature. <br />Biosolids means primarily organic solids that are produced by wastewater treatment processes <br />and can be beneficially recycled. Refer to Residuals or Sludge <br />Blowdown means the discharge from boilers or cooling towers that contain high concentrations <br />of accumulated dissolved solids. <br />Building Ddrain means that part of the lowest horizontal piping of the internal plumbing a <br />drainage—system, which receives the discharge from soil, waste and other- drainage pipes of <br />wastewater from plumbing inside the walls of the building and conveys it to a the build-inzg <br />=w^�o�g five feet outside the inner face of the wall. <br />Building Ss -ewer or Building Dateral means the extension from the building drain to the public <br />sewer or other place of disposal. <br />
