CASSELBGRRY CITY COMMISSION Minutes of February 25, 2019 — Regular Meeting Page 8 of 10 Seminole County Alliance, which is a statutorily -created board in Seminole County whose mission is to provide the opportunity for all children and families residing in Seminole County to reach their full potential in a safe environment was being requested. The Alliance membership consists of seven (7) statutory members which includes representatives from the Florida Department of Children and Families, a Seminole County Commissioner, a Seminole County School Board Member, a United Way representative, a Seminole County Sheriff's Office representative, a Seminole County Circuit Court representative and a Federation of Families representative. It also includes seven (7) or more public members residing in Seminole County, as well as a representative from each of the seven (7) cities in Seminole County which does not have to be, but is usually an elected official. The Seminole County Alliance Board meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday of those quarter months at 3:00 p.m. at the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. The remaining meeting dates for 2019 are as follows: April 17, 2019, July 17, 2019 and October 16, 2019. The City's most recent representative was former Commissioner Sandi Solomon, who was appointed in November of 2016. The City's representative has the option of having a voting proxy attend any meeting he or she is unable to attend by submitting a written form to the Board. Budget Impact: This item has no budget impact. Recommendation: The City Manager and the City Cleric recommended appointment of a Commission Member as the City's representative to the Seminole County Alliance. MOTION: Commissioner Meadows moved to appoint Commissioner Mark Busch as the City's representative to the Seminole County Alliance and Commissioner Bill Hufford as the alternate. Motion was seconded by Vice Mayor Aramendia. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote 5-0. 13. CITIZENS' COMMENTS Mayor Glancy announced persons that wished to make comment or make inquiry on any matter not on the agenda, may request to be recognized during Citizens' Comments. Mayor Glancy announced the rules of decorum. The following individuals came forward: Mr. John Casselberry, 700 South Lost Lake Lane, expressed some concerns that Seminole County had not yet made any improvements to the portion of Oxford Road in its jurisdiction, noting there was overgrown shrubbery in the area of the intersection with Fernwood Boulevard which he felt presented a safety hazard. No one else came forward. 14. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT A. Procurement Approvals Information Re Mr. Newlon advised that the Procurement Approvals Information Report for the month of January 2019
